Well, here it is the day after Halloween. The candy is beckoning from the bowl, I am doing my best to ignore it. We had a few trick-or-treaters but not the huge hordes that used to roam the neighborhood.
Here is a picture of my buddy, JP.
He came over dressed as a little monkey - if only the hands didn’t shake so much you’d have been able to see it so much clearer.
We passed out Mickey Dee coupons and assorted “fun size” candy bars and packages of M&Ms. Some of the kids were so funny. I would put the coupon around the piece of candy and put it in their bag and some of them would just stare at that paper. One little girl snatched it back out of her bag and ran to her mom and said “She was putting paper in my bag!“ with all the indignation a four year old can give. Once her mom read what it was, the girl was all smiles and it was “Ooh, MacDonalds!!“
One boy wished me a “Happy Halloween” before he said “Trick-or-treat”.
Ah well, our last Halloween in this neighborhood and it came without the usual pranks we have come to expect. What a nice change.
And how was Halloween in your neck of the woods??
