Remember George Carlin??
Came across this in one of the emails that I get and though it is George Carlin and his language can be very colorful (and totally inappropriate for the younger set) I thought that this was a real good clip to watch and listen to. Please be warned that the language gets a bit ‘rough’; it is the overall message that should make you think.

Happy April Fool’s Day
Don’t go looking here for any smart type of fooling you entry - I am way too tired for that today.
Made sweet hubby and the youngest promise to not do any dumb jokes today.
Why am I being such a grouch? Why am I way too tired for tomfoolery today??
Because Senior Girl is going to be graduating in 47 days!!!
I needed to rent a place for her graduation party. Since we live out in what most of my friends refer to as the ‘boonies’ there aren’t too many places around where one can rent something for these types of occasions. Why aren’t you having it in your backyard? you ask. Well, the house is still 1/2 full of boxes that aren’t disappearing any time soon and because she wants to invite her father (my ex) and his wife. And I only agreed to that because I still enjoy the rest of the family and they probably wouldn’t come if he wasn’t coming. So in order to keep everyone happy I had to rent some place that is sort of ‘neutral’ territory.
Yesterday I went down to the town hall to inquire about renting one of the parks near our home since today was the official sign up day and found out that since there aren’t a lot of places to rent these people start lining up at midnight to rent the parks. Oh boy! Well I said that I wouldn’t be doing that and would just come early in the morning.
Last night found me wondering if I should run down to the hall just to check out the line. Nah, it was pouring rain and windy; besides the house was comfortably warm. Went to bed about midnight still wondering if I was doing it right. Got out of bed at 6 a.m. because I just couldn’t lay there any more and got dressed. Sweet hubby offered to go with me to keep me company; so he got dressed as well.
Arrived at the hall and ended up being #15!! Then it was sit in the vehicle and wait till the doors opened at 8:30 a.m. They opened the doors at 8:20 and we wandered inside to stand in another line and get our paperwork to fill out. Found out that the numbers were outside at about 8:30 the night before with #1 being picked up at 9pm, #2 at midnight, #3 around 4 am and the rest after that. In fact the lady 2 ahead of me had picked her’s up at 6 a.m. Finally it was our turn - thankfully no one had taken our date!!! So now we are started on organizing Senior Girl’s party.
Me, I am just beat. Looking forward to watching the 2nd half of CSI: Miami and praying that I can stay awake through it!! Wish me luck!!
